The difference between Impressionism and Post-Impressionism
1. Impressionism - is a style in painting based on what the eyes see or visual impression of the moment. Impressionist artist make the painting quickly under constantly shifting condition of lights and color. Artist usually paint the landscape and ordinary scene and usually involve direct observation.
2. Post-Impressionism - is a style of painting not to see things but to see through the paintings.  Unlike impressionism, post-impressionism artist make the painting with deeper meaning than what the visual reality has given.
European Colonization changes art in this time period because of the arts that are coming from these non-industrial society to the European cities gave the artist new inspirations and influences. It made the artists want to learn new things about the arts that came outside Europe.
